Ray Gelato is a world-renowned saxophonist, vocalist, songwriter and bandleader, bringing his unique blend of swing, jazz and R&B to audiences around the globe.
With his legendary band, Ray Gelato & The Giants, Ray has built an international reputation for electrifying live performances, combining great musicianship with an infectious energy that gets audiences on their feet and dancing.
From their long-standing Christmas residency at London’s legendary Ronnie Scott’s to prestigious venues and festivals including Birdland New York, the Blue Note Milan, Umbria Jazz and the Montreal Jazz Festival, Ray and The Giants have performed all over the world. Ray has also opened for Robbie Williams at the Royal Albert Hall, performed for Queen Elizabeth II and played for Paul McCartney at his personal request.
As a songwriter, Ray’s music has featured in the films No Reservations and Lamborghini, as well as the TV series The Godfather of Harlem. He has also performed with the BBC Big Band for a special VE Day broadcast on BBC Radio 2.
